According to Special Adviser Mukhtar Gidado, the approved 2025 state budget actually allocates N250 million within the SSG’s Office for a comprehensive ICT infrastructure project. This investment encompasses laptops, desktop computers, networking equipment, and associated infrastructure aimed at advancing the state’s E-governance initiatives.
The clarification emphasizes that this allocation is part of a broader strategy to connect various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to improve information management and decision-making efficiency. The state’s Bureau for ICT, which has demonstrated its capabilities through recent achievements including the first virtual screening of a Commissioner-nominee at the sub-national level, oversees the procurement and deployment of all ICT equipment.
